Operation Sindoor: Netizens gathered early on Wednesday morning to celebrate India’s response to Pahalgam terror attack.

India responded to the barbarous Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians under the codename ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday. India struck as many as nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) to avenge the massacre that took place on April 22 in Pahalgam. Called Sindoor or vermillion, that signifies the marital status of Hindu women, Indians gathered on social media early Wednesday to celebrate the message sent by the country against Pakistan and the terror hubs it has harboured for years.

India’s defense minister Rajnath Singh hailed the Indian army and “Operation Sindoor” in a post on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter). Singh wrote: भारत माता की जय! (Victory to Mother India).

“Operation Sindoor, a mission to avenge the sindoor wiped from the foreheads of our mothers and sisters in Pahalgam. What a powerful and fitting name for this tribute! Jai Hind,” a user wrote on ‘X’.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote a powerful message hours after India’s missile strikes. “The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.”

Indian cricketer Varun Chakaravarthy who is currently in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp in the ongoing Indian Premier League shared a photo of Operation Sindoor over his Instagram account.
Veteran cricketer Suresh Raina also shared the same photograph as Chakaravarthy.
“Operation Sindoor isn’t just a mission, it’s a message. India stands united, our forces unmatched. From LOC to LAC, from mountains to oceans every inch of our Bharat is sacred. Jai Hind to our brave soldiers leading from the front,” another post on X website read.

A chorus of “Jai Hind” or Victory to India was heard far and wide on social media platform ‘X’. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor wrote: “So proud of my country today. Jai Hind!”
