Hair India in Greater Noida, a big investment of Rs 1000 crore, creation of thousands of new jobs

Haier Appliances: Higher Appliances India has announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore at its Greater Noida plant between 2024 and 2028. Speaking to Etretail at the inauguration, NS Satish, President of Higher Appliances India, said that the company has inaugurated an injection molding plant of Rs 200 crore, which will produce plastic components keeping in mind better quality and flexibility. Along with this, the manufacturing unit built at a cost of Rs 100 crore will also be operational by October 2025.

AC manufacturing facility will be made for 700 crores

The biggest investment will be worth Rs 700 crore, from which a new AC manufacturing facility will be created. This will increase the annual AC production capacity of Higher to 2.5 million units and with this the total production capacity will be 4 million units by the beginning of 2027. This will double the workforce in Noida company, as a result 3,500 new jobs will be created. NS Satish further said, “The Bhoomi Pujan of our new facilities in the Greater Noida plant shows our commitment to the country’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.”

Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who was present at the inauguration ceremony, said, “We are confident that this facility will play an important role in speeding up the state’s economic growth and will bring India as a prominent player in the Global Manufacturing Sector.” In 2018, Higher had signed an MOU with the Uttar Pradesh government to make an Industrial Park of Rs 3,069 crore. Higher India earned so much in 2024

Higher India’s revenue in 2024 stood at Rs 8,900 crore, while the company has set a target of Rs 11,500 crore for 2025. 40-45 percent of the refrigerator contributed the most in revenue for the company. After which the contribution of air conditioner is 20 percent, washing machine and LED TV contributes 15-15 percent. With the increase in demand, Higher plans to create a manufacturing unit in South India so that the growing demand of washing machines and refrigerators can be met.
