
Amid the ongoing tension in Nepal, the government has taken a big decision, according to which petrol diesel will not be given to the police army and medical, government departments and logistics food vehicles in Nepal. Meanwhile, on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) in Nepal, anti -government violent protests continued under the leadership of students. The protesters violated the sanctions on public gathering demanding the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and vandalized the houses of several leaders. Under the banner of Jane Zee, the protesters raised slogans like KP thieves, leave the country and action against corrupt leaders in many parts of the capital.
The protesters set the residence of Prime Minister Oli at Balkot in Bhaktapur on fire. Oli is currently at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluvatar. The protesters also set fire to former Home Minister Ramesh writer’s residence in Naikap, Kathmandu. Just a day earlier on Monday, Ramesh writer resigned from his post after the police used force on the youth protesting against the government’s ban on social media sites.

In the police action, 21 people were killed and more than 300 others were injured on Monday. There were also reports of demonstrations from Kathmandu’s Kalanki, Kalimati, Tahal and Baneshwar as well as Chayasal, Chapagau and Thecho areas of Lalitpur districts. The protesters raised slogans like kill students, disregarding the restrictions on publicly gathering. Most of the students are among the protesters. According to eyewitnesses, the protesters in Kalanki burnt tires to block the roads since morning. According to media reports, the police opened fire on the protesters, in which four people were injured. According to eyewitnesses, the protesting youths also pelted stones at the residence of Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung at Sunkothi in Lalitpur district.
