Golgappa, also known as pani puri, is one of the most popular street foods. This beloved bite-sized snack offers a savoury mix of tangy and spicy flavours. But, a person feels that golgappa has not received the recognition it truly deserves and decided to honour it in his way – by creating an AI-generated video. The animated clip reimagines golgappas as giant living beings in a miniature world.
In the now-viral video, we see giant golgappas lounging in a pool of ‘golgappe wala paani’, which gives the snack its signature tang. A crispy golgappa also enjoys an amusement park ride and presides over a royal court. The golgappas are shown living life to the fullest, surrounded by miniature humans.
One scene depicts human workers preparing golgappas on a factory line. Another shows construction workers filling the crispy, fried shells with ‘golgappe wala paani’. Sev, coriander, tomato slices, green chutney and other ingredients essential to various chaats also make an appearance.
