From UPI and LPG to SBI Card … These rules have changed from today, know what will be its effect on you


Financial New Rules: With the beginning of August 2025, some such important changes have come into force, which will directly affect the pockets and everyday life of the general public. These changes are related to UPI transactions, LPG cylinders prices and SBI cards. Let’s know in detail:

Change in UPI rule

From today, some rules related to Unified Payments Interface have been changed:

Now you will be able to check bank balance only 50 times in a day. If you have linked the bank account with UPI, then the balance of that account can be seen only 25 times daily. Apart from this, the rules of automatic schedule payments (such as subscription and EMI) have also been changed. Now they can be scheduled to schedule in three different slots, so that the system does not load more at the same time.

Prices of LPG cylinder reduced

There is news of relief for the common people before Raksha Bandhan. Today i.e. from August 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 33.50. A month ago, the price of commercial cylinders decreased. This will directly benefit restaurants, hotels and small businessmen. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG.

SBI card rules also changed

If you use State Bank of India (SBI) co-branded credit card (Prime, Platinum or Elite), then note:

From 11 August 2025, the free air insurance on these cards will be discontinued. Till now these cards used to get free air insurance ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. These changes will affect the users, traders and SBI card holders making digital payments. You are advised to manage your plans and expenses according to these new rules.
