Manmohan Singh Death: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh breathed his last on Thursday night at the age of 92. Manmohan Singh was undergoing treatment for a long time. However, in the meantime, after suddenly fainting at home on Thursday, he was taken to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, where despite all efforts, he could not be saved and he was declared dead at 9:51 pm.

The former Prime Minister’s contribution to the country’s economy remained in the headlines of major foreign media houses, which covered his demise. On this occasion, many foreign media wrote different things about him.

The New York Times described Manmohan Singh as a “soft-spoken” and “sensible” PM. American Daily has written that Singh is given credit for far-reaching changes.

Highlighting Singh’s academic talent, the UK-based newspaper said that he was so serious about his studies that he used to study under the street light at night to escape the noise of his home. The British newspaper hailed Dr Singh as the architect of economic reforms, who served two terms as Prime Minister in Indian politics.

Doha-based television network Al Jazeera described Manmohan Singh as a gentle person. He further wrote that Manmohan Singh should be among those people who remained the Prime Minister of India for the longest period. He earned a reputation as an honest person. After leaving the post of Prime Minister, Singh adopted a low profile. Whereas Pakistani newspaper The Dawn wrote that he was a calm natured Prime Minister. He was one of the most successful leaders of India.
