From selling newspaper to waiter, studying in orphanage, know who these IAS officers are

He lost his father in his childhood, grew up in the orphanage, he became a successful IAS officer with hard work and dedication. B Abdul Nasar’s life will inspire everyone. Due to this combative mentality, he became an IAS officer from the orphanage.

It may be surprising to hear that B Abdul Nasar did not pass the UPSC exam, yet how did he become an IAS officer? Let’s know his life story. Abdul Nasir was born and raised in Thalassery village in Kannur district of Kerala. He lost his father at the age of just 5 years. After this, his mother was forced to earn money by working from house to house and raise her children. As a result, he reached the orphanage with his other siblings. Despite many obstacles, Abdul Nasar completed his schooling.

He completed his education after spending 13 years in an orphanage in Kerala. At the age of 10, Abdul Nasser worked as a waiter in a hotel to earn money to help his family. After graduating from Thalassery Government College, Abdul Nasser made a living by doing various jobs at different times. Sometimes he used to sell newspapers, sometimes taught tuition, or sometimes used to work as a phone operator.

Career started from here

After completing his postgraduate studies in 1994, Abdul Nasar started his career as a government employee in Kerala Health Department. And due to his work skills and dedication, he was promoted to the post of Deputy Collector in the State Civil Service in 2006. In 2017, he was promoted as IAS. He has served as the Housing Commissioner of the Government of Kerala and Abdul Nasir has also served as District Collector in Kollam district in 2019. He became a successful IAS officer without giving any UPSC exam.
