Fear of aircraft accident, 20 percent fall in booking of air India

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) President Ravi Gosain spoke to the news agency PTI, saying that there has been a decline in booking after the Air India accident, especially for international routes. Ticket prices also reduced

He further said, domestic ticket prices have declined by 8-12 percent, especially on the routes where the airline is competing with affordable companies like IndiGo and Akasa. At the international level, the fare has declined by 10–15 percent for Europe and South East Asia.

Expecting early recovery too

Talking about flight cancellation, he gave information, tickets are also being canceled within a week of the accident. At the international level, 15-18 percent and 8-10 percent tickets have been canceled at the domestic level. However, in the meantime, he also hoped for recovery as no big thing has been revealed about security.

Explain that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) examined all 24 aircraft of Air India’s Boeing 787 fleet and was seen fulfilling all the current standards. However, even though there is no security concerns in Air India flights, there is a need to emphasize on maintenance.
