On the first day of returning to power in America, President Donald Trump has given executive orders to change many American policies.
In this executive order, Trump has also taken a decision related to the Citizenship Act, according to which an order has been given to revoke American citizenship on the basis of birth in America. This means that now those people who do not have valid documents of American citizenship and if they give birth to a child in America during this period, then those children will not automatically get American citizenship.
Donald Trump wants to change 150 year old law
US President Donald Trump says that this law is wrong and it is increasing America’s problems. Due to this, children of people who entered America illegally are also getting a chance to become American citizens and they are taking advantage of the resources here. Donald Trump has objection to this. In an interview, Donald Trump had said, “We are going to change this law. We have to go among the people. But we will change the law.”
It is noteworthy that according to this order of Donald Trump, for children to automatically get American citizenship in the future, at least one of the parents will need to be an American citizen or legal permanent resident.
NRIs will be shocked by this decision
