ENG-W vs IND-W, 1st ODI: Kranti Goud takes maiden international wicket


India and UP Warriorz seamer Kranti Goud took her maiden international wicket in the first ODI between India Women and England Women at Southampton on Wednesday.

Goud, who is playing her third international match, took the wicket by bowling English opening batter Amy Jones. Goud also removed the other England opener Tammy Beaumont leg before in her second over.

The seamer shot to prominence during the most recent season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), where she took six wickets in her eight appearances for UP Warriorz.

She was called up to the Indian team for its tri-series along with Sri Lanka and South Africa, making her debut in the final against Sri Lanka. She also made her T20I debut in the fifth T20I of India’s recent series against England.
