India drew the five-match Test series against England 2-2 after beating the host by six runs in the fifth and final Test at the Oval in London on Monday.
This was the second consecutive time a Test series between England and India, held on English soil, was ending in a stalemate. The last time India had toured England, back in 2021-22, the series had also ended in a 2-2 draw.
Since first touring England in 1932, India has won a Test series on English soil on only three occasions—1971, 1986, and 2007.
