Elders are not easy to treat in these states! OPD has to eat for treatment

Elderly Healthcare : The immunity of the elderly is weak, so their timely treatment is necessary. But if they are treated when they are treated 45 km, is it possible to treat on time. Yes, according to this study, the elderly in the country have to cover a distance of about 45 kilometers to get hospitalized. Not only this, it has also been seen in the study that they have to cover an average of 15 kilometers for treatment in OPD.

Inequality is in urban and rural areas

Inequality is also shown in urban and rural areas in this study. According to this, the elders living in the city have to travel 10 kilometers for OPD. At the same time, the elderly living in rural areas have to travel 30 kilometers for treatment in OPD.

32,00 study on data of elderly

Researchers of the World Health Organization, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Indian Council of Medical Research have analyzed the data of 32 elders collected in 2017-2018. All of them are more than 60 years of age.

States like UP, Bihar and MP

The elderly of these states have to travel 11 kilometers to 60 kilometers to get OPD services. At the same time, a distance of 30 kilometers has to be covered for hospitalization. At the same time, the rate of serving service for OPD and hospitalization is said to be 73 percent and 40 percent.

More challenge in hilly states

There are more challenges in front of the elderly in hilly areas like Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh. Here 17 percent and 5 percent of the elderly took advantage of OPD services at a distance of 10 km. At the same time, a distance of more than 60 kilometers has to be covered to reach health services on the elderly of Mizoram and Nagaland.
