A woman, allegedly drunk, was seen causing a disturbance on a Haridwar road in the evening, a video which has now gone viral.

A video from Uttarakhand’s Haridwar is going viral, in which a woman in a red salwar kameez is seen creating a ruckus on the road, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The undated video, doing rounds on social media, showed the woman stopping vehicles and standing in front of them. This led to a brief traffic congestion on the road.
“A video of a woman has surfaced in Haridwar, where she is seen creating a ruckus on the road under the influence of alcohol,” the caption of the video, shared on X, reads. The video has been shared by an account, @priyarajputlive, who claims to be a journalist. The video appears to have been recorded in the evening.

In the 50-second video shared on Saturday, at one point, she attempts to get into an approaching e-rickshaw. Several onlookers can be seen taking her video and commenting on the incident. Visibly confused and concerned, some of them can be heard asking what happened to her. While the incident takes place on a busy road, the exact location could not be identified from the video.
The woman then continues walking down the road as people watch from a distance. The face of the woman was not visible in the video, she appears to be in her 30s. Following her ruckus, the cars abruptly stopped on the road to avoid hitting her. Amid this, two cars engaged in a minor rear-end collision, as seen in the video.
As the video went viral, some viewers criticised her actions and behaviour in the comments. Meanwhile, some also expressed concern for her well-being, asking if she reached home safely.
“What is happening?,” one of the replies on the post reads.
The woman’s identity remains unknown at this time. It is also not confirmed if she was really intoxicated. However, some people also raised concerns about the growing issue of public intoxication, and demanded action against the women for causing public disruption.
The official X handles of Haridwar police has not yet reacted to the video.
