Doctor Vora tells that you will not find these things in her house, high-superior biscuits, loofa, scotch-bright spongs, cented sanitary pads, mosquito coil and open kitchen dustbin. He says that these things can cause serious risk to health and often people are unaware of it.

Consultant Dr. Pawan Kumar Goel, Dilshad Garden, Delhi, said that high-superior biscuits have a high amount of refined flour and sugar, which increases blood sugar rapidly, increases the risk of obesity and diabetes, and teeth can also deteriorate. They suggest that nuts, roasted gram, fresh fruits, unseeded yogurts and homemade snacks are safe options.

Bacteria in loofa and scotch-bright sponges easily thrive and may increase the risk of small wounds or infections on the skin. Doctor Vora said that it is better to use hands, washed cotton vashakloth or early dry silicon scrubber. This reduces the risk of infection.

Scents and chemicals in cented sanitary pads can cause skin irritation and infection. Doctor Goyal suggested that uncented cotton pads, menstrual cups and period underwear are the safest option, especially for sensitive skin.

The mosquito coil leaves smoke that contains fine particles and formaldehydes, which is harmful to children and asthma patients. Doctor Vora advised that using window screen, bed net, topical repellent and electric vaporizer is a safe option.

Open kitchen dustbin attracts mosquitoes and germs and spreads smell. According to experts, covered paddle bin, keeping separate weight/dry waste, emptying it daily and cleaning once a week keeps the house safe and clean.
