A significant hearing was held in the Delhi High Court on the petition of Maulana Arshad Madni on behalf of Jamiat Ulema Hind regarding the film Udaipur files. The petitioner has demanded that the court cancel the CBFC certification and immediately stop the release of the film. The film is allegedly based on the murder of Kanhaiyalal, a tailor in Udaipur in 2022. It has been said in the petition that the same statement was the cause of violence and tension in the country earlier and now an attempt is being made to revive communal sentiments by repeating the same things in the film.
