Dharmendra was asked a question about Sholay in AAP court. When asked if he got Amitabh Bachchan a role. On this, Dharmendra said- I have never said but now he has started talking about it himself and he also thanked me. Now they have started saying, so yes I say I got it. They used to come to me or else this role was going to go to Shatrughan Sinha. When the enemy came to know, he said- Paji, you gave my role to him. I said- man, I do not understand anything. If he had come earlier, I thought I should give it to him.
Shatrughan Sinha did react
Once Shatrughan Sinha went to a singing reality show. Where he was asked about Sholay, he said- I did not have time at that time. I was shooting two films. I am sad to not be able to do Sholay, but with this, happiness is about this because my dear friend Amitabh Bachchan got a big break.
