Dhaka launches ‘Op Devil Hunt’, arrests 40 – The Times of India


Forty people have been arrested in Bangladesh in an operation launched following a violent attack on student activists during vandalism at the house of an Awami League leader in Gazipur district.
Dubbed “Operation Devil Hunt“, a government statement said the operation began after gangs “linked to the fallen autocratic regime attacked a group of students, leaving them severely injured”. The violence occurred during the attack on the house of former Liberation War affairs minister Mozammel Haque.
