Facing the frustrations of the job hunt, she turned to the dating app Hinge to find work. Yes, you read that right—she used a dating platform to land a job. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the musician shared several screenshots of her replies to men who liked her profile picture on the online dating app Hinge. In exchange for the likes, she ditched any formal greetings and straightforwardly asked them if they were hiring for any jobs.
Fed up with the traditional job application process, the woman decided to take a bold approach. “I’m done with Indeed applications. I’m taking matters into my own hands,” she wrote while sharing viral screenshots. Dismissing compliments with a laugh, she got straight to the point—turning dating chats into unexpected job inquiries.
The screenshots revealed her straightforward approach, with messages like, “Love investment banking. One of my favourite hobbies. Can you get me a job?” to one of her Hinge matches. In another chat, she skipped the small talk entirely, simply asking, “Could you get me a job?”
As the post gained traction, social media users flooded the comments section with their reactions. Many found her approach refreshingly bold, while others admired her creativity in job hunting.
When one user inquired about her skills, she replied, “Currently an intern audio engineering/studio hand. However, I am willing to learn and do ANYTHING. I’m a fast learner, proficient at anything I need to do, and desperate to not starve.”
