Food experiments are very popular on social media these days. Social media is flooded with videos from diverse creators displaying new combinations, uncommon ingredients, and unique cooking procedures. Interestingly, many popular foods have been challenged by novel ideas. In a surprising twist, the popular Indian snack samosa got a new recipe. A video has been doing rounds on the internet which shows it being filled with Bhindi instead of potato.
A food blogger posted a video of the bizarre dish on Instagram. The video starts with a man presenting bhindi samosa with a gravy, green chutney, and a less more spices on top. In the caption, the person wrote, “Samose toh bhot type ke khaye hai aap logo ne kya kabhi khaya hai bhindi samosa?”
The post has also received countless likes and comments. Many people took to the comments section of the post to share their opinion on the fusion dish. Several people were not pleased with this combination. A person stated, “What nonsense,” while another mentioned, “Justice for bhindi and samosa.”
Another individual added, “Why do they take everything good in life and make it bad?” While a person Wrote, “Bas karo re..kuch bhi bhar dete ho samose ko samosa hi rehne do.” Some people seemed fed up with these experiences. One of Them Wrote, “Ab kuch din baad bangan samosa, dal chawal samosa, khichdi samosa sab aayega.”
Some months back because of its distinctive shape, another samosa recipe emerged online. The video went viral where samosas were given a crisscross design instead of their traditional triangular shape.
The video began with a YouTuber carefully cutting into flattened dough (which is used to cover samosas). She used a knife to make many half-slits on two sides, making sure that the corners of the slits did not contact while slicing. She stuffed one part of the triangle and wrapped it around the other. Next she began to make the samosa strands. She wrapped the slits on top of each other to create the perfect crisscross, chequered effect.
