Arguments in the Delhi metro are quite common these days, largely due to the limited number of seats and overcrowding. Days after a video of a scuffle between two passengers left the Internet divided, it’s time for a new ‘drama’ which has netizens comparing the Delhi Metro with New York Subway stations. It shows an intense altercation between two men that escalated to a point where one of them was left shirtless, aggressively inviting another for a fight, threatening him to meet outside.
The video, in the beginning, focuses on a man, seemingly in no mood to conclude the altercation after off-camera physical violence. As the camera panned, another passenger can be seen standing in a shredded shirt, implying that the duo had an argument before. Amid the fight, what further caught the Internet’s attention was the man’s accent as he said, “Come on, throw some punches, man.”
On the other hand, another passenger is heard saying, “Gandi baatien kr raha hai. (He is making nasty comments).” As the bystanders interverted to different the situation, the man started claiming that he is being singled out trust of his bihari origin. “Kuki mai bihar se hai, is liye aap log mereko bol rhe,” He said.
Furious, the man continued to challenge the passenger, asking him to meet outside the metro. “Come on let’s fight. I’ll show you how am I,” he added. As the video progresses towards the end, both the men are trying to calm themselves, settling down and adjusting their clothes.
As the video gained momentum, netizens pointed out the man’s accent, claiming that it felt like they were in the Subway of Mexico city. “It’s giving a New York Underground vibe, no matter what others say,” a user wrote. Another added, “Funny until you saw the other guy’s shirt.”
One of the users urged, “Please don’t make the Delhi metro into the New York Subway.” An individual also chimed in, “We got Delhi metro competing with NYC subways before GTA VI.” One of the comments also read, “I just felt like I was somewhere in the Subway of MEXICO CITY. What a Vibe.”
The video comes on the heels of another heated argument between a man and a group of women which took place earlier this month in a crowded Delhi Metro on the Blue Line near Janakpuri West. The fight began after the man, seated with a backpack and earphones, denied giving up his seat to a woman, who called him out for his behaviour.
