The police took journalist Muni Saha away from the crowd of people in the market and reached Tejgaon police station. After which he was taken to the office of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB). Due to this, the news of the arrest of the female journalist spread rapidly.
However, the police clarified that senior female journalist Muni Saha was not arrested. He will be released on Sunday morning. Police also informed that during this entire incident the journalist had a panic attack and fell ill.

Regarding the arrest of female journalist Muni Saha, a police officer told Bangladeshi newspaper Daily Observer, “The police have not detained Muni Saha. He was surrounded by a group outside his office in Karwan Bazaar. After this, keeping security reasons in mind, Tejgaon police took him to the DB office.” He told that Saha is an accused in four cases. In which he will have to appear in the court for bail and will also have to obey the police summons in future. However, the police did not give any statement regarding the people who surrounded the female journalist and raised slogans against her.
