During one of his concerts in Mumbai, Chris grabbed the audience’s attention by humorously revealing the birthplaces of his bandmates.
Taking a quick break from his performance, Chris Martin did what he does best—charm the crowd with his wit. In his signature style, while humming, he joked, “This is Jonny Buckland, the guitarist, born in Pimpri-Chinchwad. This is Will Champion, the drummer, many think he’s from England, but he’s actually from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. I was born in Sanjay Gandhi National Park.” The crowd erupted in laughter and excitement over Chris’ humorous delivery.

Coldplay, featuring lead singer Chris Martin, bassist Guy Berryman, guitarist Jonny Buckland, and drummer Will Champion, are currently in India. After their concert in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, the British band reached Ahmedabad. The band will perform shows at the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26.
