When it comes to luxury in the skies, a few airlines have taken it to a whole new level. One such is Etihad Airways. Recently, a Chennai couple took the airline’s flight from Paris to Abu Dhabi with their kid and gave a glimpse of their luxurious flying experience. They booked The Residence on Etihad Airways’ Airbus 380, whose tickets cost around Rs 3-4 lakh, describing that the experience was similar to flying on a private jet.
The content creator, Keerthi, who shared her experience on Instagram through a video, mentioned that the luxury services began even before they stepped onto the flight. Passengers who booked The Residence were granted Etihad’s First Class Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport. According to the creator, this lounge was nothing short of extraordinary, with premium services including a la carte gourmet dining, a separate children’s play area, super-clean shower suites, and dedicated cabins for each family, among others.
Speaking about her onboard experience on Etihad’s A380, Keerthi shared that The Residence is a three-room cabin comprising a lounge area, bedroom and a dedicated shower area. She mentioned that the large lounge area came with a TV and two seats. The bedroom includes a comfortable bed with high-quality bedding, and the cabin crew even makes the bed for the passengers. The Residence includes a shower area and restroom just for the travellers in the cabin.
Sharing more about her luxury travel, Keerthi, in the caption, wrote, “This 3-room-suite can be booked by one person or by a couple. And there’s only 1 Residence on each A380, which makes it super exclusive. Anytime gourmet dining from their menu, and believe us, you’ll want to try them all. And, of course, a large screen TV with your favourite shows/movies with inflight wifi.”
Towards the end, the content creator talked about the amenities given on the flight. She revealed that each traveller receives a Giorgio Armani amenity kit consisting of creams, eye masks, socks and other necessary toiletries. Moreover, the same luxury brand’s sleepwear is also given on the flight, along with an assortment of gourmet chocolates. She concluded her post by saying, “The experience was amazing, almost like flying a private jet, and we had the best time.”
The video immediately caught attention online, with online users asking the creator what they do for a living. A section was also mesmerised by the luxury of The Residence on Etihad.
