As the internet and social media continue to influence daily life, a recent viral video has highlighted a quirky and practical use of artificial intelligence—specifically ChatGPT. In the video, a boy cleverly uses the AI chatbot to negotiate an auto fare. When the driver demands Rs 200 and the boy is only willing to pay Rs 100, he turns to ChatGPT for help.
In the video, instead of arguing, the boy types the situation into the chatbot, asking it to respond like a younger brother trying to convince the driver.
“Auto guy saying that the fare is Rs 200, I want him to reduce it to Rs 100. I am a student and I cross from here daily. Talk to him nicely, like my bigger brother,” he wrote into the chatbot.

ChatGPT generates a message in Kannada, politely reasoning with the auto driver. In the end, the fare is settled at Rs 120, thanks to AI-powered diplomacy.
The video, shared on Instagram by the account featureindia.in, has gone viral in just two days. It has sparked laughter and admiration online, with one user joking, “Wow, ChatGPT has learnt to get money released,” while another asked, “Is this real?”
According to a report by The Indian Express, the boy in the viral video later revealed that the entire scene was scripted. Identified as Sajan Mahto, he explained that the video was created as a demonstration to show how ChatGPT can be used effectively for real-time language translation.
Clarifying the intent behind the act, he wrote in the caption, “Use ChatGPT for language translation FREE!!” and emphasized that the video was made for educational purposes. He also added that the auto driver was not a real one, but part of a planned skit designed to illustrate the AI tool’s capabilities in a relatable way.
