A Bad Omens concert in Melbourne, Australia, took a scary turn when a portion of the ceiling collapsed, injuring multiple people. The incident took place on January 22 at the Festival Hall during the band’s last song.
Confetti cannons seemed to knock loose ceiling tiles as they burst into the air, making them fall into the audience. The startling scene was captured on camera, and it has since gone viral. In addition, the video was posted on Instagram by Daily Mail, which also included a caption describing the concertgoers’ injuries.
“During a Bad Omens concert in Melbourne, a ceiling panel fell onto the crowd reportedly leaving at least one fan knocked out. A fan in attendance explained that ‘It was actually really bad… Two girls got dragged out in front of me, one bleeding from her mouth and neck, the other from her knee… A bunch of people in the area were scrambling to get out,” the caption shared by Daily Mail reads.
The publication added that neither Festival Hall nor the band offered any comments regarding the incident or the severity of the injuries sustained by the spectators. “Neither the band nor Festival Hall have commented on the incident or the seriousness of fans’ injuries,” the post added.

A user said, “Hope they are ok. I bet Noah was not impressed,” in reference to Noah Sebastian, the band’s lead singer.
Another commented, “New fear unlocked.”
“Band name checks out,” wrote a user on Instagram.
“What a bad omen,” said another user.
Furthermore, Bad Omens appeared completely oblivious to what transpired, The New York Post reported. When their performance was over, they left the stage and carried on with their song. They did, however, come back to do an encore.
Reportedly, there were ‘additional safety checks’ made the night before the event; the venue has said in response to footage of the incident posted on Instagram.
