Several rounds of talks between Israel and Hamas regarding this ceasefire deal were held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. This conversation was mediated by America, Egypt and Qatar. However, what rules have been decided in the agreement, it is planned to be made public in Cairo soon.
But according to sources, under the ceasefire deal, Hamas will release the hostages and in return Israel will release about 1,000 Palestinian civilians from its prison. There will be a total of 3 phases of Israel-Hamas ceasefire. In the first phase, Hamas will release 34 hostages in 42 days, in which women and children will be given priority. In return, Israel will allow people to return to northern Gaza. Israel will withdraw troops from Gaza Strip in a phased manner. Hamas has taken about 98 hostages, including 7 American citizens. In the first phase, Israel will withdraw its troops from the residential areas of Gaza. In the second phase, Hamas will release all the hostages and Israel will completely withdraw its troops from Gaza. The third phase will focus on reconstruction projects in the Gaza Strip. The responsibility of implementing the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal is being considered of America, Qatar and Egypt, because due to the mediation of these three countries, agreement on ceasefire has been reached.
Discussion of ceasefire after Trump’s threat
After winning the presidential elections in America, Donald Trump had made it clear that if Hamas does not reach an agreement before January 20, it will have to suffer huge consequences. After Trump’s threat, a proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was discussed, which included the release of hostages from Hamas’s custody and a plan to withdraw Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip. However, the Biden administration also remained in constant touch with Qatar, Egypt and Israel. While first announcing the ceasefire, Trump wrote that the ceasefire is the result of our historic victory in November, because my victory in the elections had given a message to the whole world that we will seek peace and ensure security. Trump also praised his Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff for this agreement.
President Joe Biden announced ceasefire

Biden said that our administration was working on this ceasefire plan for the last one year. Cease fire deal brokered by America and Egypt
Qatar’s Prime Minister also said in the press conference that a ceasefire deal has been reached with the mediation of Qatar, America and Egypt. With this deal the dark chapter of the war will end and it is expected that the deal will be followed and respected by both sides. India also issued a press release
India’s Foreign Ministry also issued a press release welcoming the ceasefire and the release of hostages. India said in its statement that we hope that this will ensure safe and continuous supply of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. India said that we have continuously appealed for the release of all hostages, ceasefire and return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
