CBSE’s strictness, the sword of rule violation hangs on 29 schools!


Taking a strict stance on violation of rules, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued show cause notices to 29 schools across the country. Following surprise inspections conducted on 18 and 19 December 2024, these schools have been accused of violating CBSE affiliation bye-laws. Now these schools have been given 30 days to give their clarification.

According to the official press release of CBSE, this inspection was conducted in 29 schools in Delhi, Bengaluru (Karnataka), Patna (Bihar), Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) and Ahmedabad (Gujarat). Many serious lapses were revealed during the inspection, which mainly included irregularities in enrollment and non-adherence to educational-infrastructural standards.

Taking these violations very seriously, CBSE has provided a copy of the inspection report to the schools concerned. All schools have been instructed to give written reply within 30 days.

A total of 29 schools, including Delhi’s Hope Hall Foundation School, Oxford School, and Central Academy International School, Bengaluru’s Sri Academy Techno School, Varanasi’s St. Cathy’s Memorial English School, Patna’s Satya International and Bilaspur’s Adarsh ​​Medical Academy, are included in the list. Enrollment irregularities: Enrollments were found to be more than the actual attendance of students.

Violation of academic and infrastructural standards: Many schools failed to follow CBSE guidelines.

This is not the first time that CBSE has taken action on violation of bye-laws. In September 2024, notice was issued to 27 schools of Rajasthan and Delhi. At the same time, last month, 34 schools were warned for violating the rules of participating in CBSE board sports events.
