The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued new eligibility rules regarding the board examination of 10th and 12th grade. The board has made it clear that it is necessary to have a minimum of 75% attendance of students to appear in the examination. In addition, students will have to study for a full two years and participate in internal assessment.
CBSE said that the 10th and 12th examination is only for those students who have attended classes regularly in school. That is, if the attendance of the student is less than 75%, then he will not be eligible to sit in the board examination. The board says that continuous attendance not only strengthens the students’ studies, but can also be done correctly in internal assessment.
Two years of study is necessary
The board also clarified that the class 10th exam is actually a two -year program of 9th and 10th, while the 12th examination is a two -year course of 11th and 12th. Therefore, any student will have to study both years.
Internal evaluation will be important
Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, now an essential part of the internal assessment board has been made. CBSE says that if a student does not come to school, it will not be evaluated internal. And if there is no internal assessment, then the result of that student will not be declared. Such students will be put in the category of “essential repeat”.
