A heated confrontation erupted at a toll plaza in Gurugram after a cab driver accused toll workers of smashing his car’s side mirror. The incident, captured on camera, shows the driver questioning the alleged act and accusing the staff of issuing threats. The situation escalated when one toll worker appeared to approach the driver aggressively, seemingly trying to hit him. An MCD personnel was also present at the scene, trying to pacify the argument.
In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the driver can be heard saying, “Shissa kisse puch ke tora? (Who gave you permission to break this mirror?) and alleging, “Ye bande mujhe marne ki dhamki de rhe (These people are threatening to kill me.)”
He added, “Jitni salary hai utni hum tax dete hai. (We pay as much tax as your entrere salary.) “
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many expressing concern over the aggressive behaviour of the toll workers and the lack of accountability. Several users also noted that this is a usual scene in Delhi NCR.
An individual said, “The behaviour of toll staff across India is often unprofessional and problematic. Actually, toll staff are Gundas.” Echoing the same, a user noted, “The toll plaza people have kept goons.”
“Government employees treat taxpayers like dogs. Zero accountability,” posted a user.
Another condemned the behaviour stating, “These toll guys are so angry all the time, I don’t know why they have such bad attitude.”
A user asked, “Looks like the mirror wasn’t the only thing that got smashed”
The clip shared on February 4 has garnered over 2 lakh views.
