
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur has saved the life of a woman whose cashew was accidentally trapped in the windpipe. The woman had been struggling with problems like cough, breathlessness and heavy restlessness for the last four days, after which the 53 -year -old woman was brought to her family for treatment for treatment.
The woman had to cough and breathe for the past few days, after which the family took her to the local hospital. When the woman’s CT scan and X-ray was found, a piece of cashew was found stuck in her windpipe. An attempt was made to evacuate him with the help of endoscopy in the local hospital, but that effort was not successful. In such a situation, the woman was admitted to AIIMS Gorakhpur.

The team of Dr. Kanupriya and Dr. Raghav under the leadership of Dr. Subodh of Pulmonary Medicine Department of AIIMS carried out this complex bronchoscopy process. This process used state-of-the-art equipment such as video-broskope, cryo machine and Doria basket. This operation was performed in OT with extreme vigilance and technical accuracy. During this time, Dr. Winner Bajpai and Dr. Priyanka Dwivedi of the Department of Anesthesia provided support in the entire process. This joint functioning of both departments gave the woman a new life. After the operation, the condition of the woman is said to be stable and she is getting healthy normally. The operation and guidance of Major General Dr. Vibha Dutta, Executive Director of AIIMS Gorakhpur, was done to this operation.
