Union Budget 2025 Memes: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table her eighth consecutive Budget in the Lok Sabha today.

Budget 2025 Memes: Indians are waiting with bated breath, and all eyes are on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as she prepares to present the Union Budget 2025 today, February 1, at 11 AM in the Lok Sabha. This will be the eighth consecutive time she tables the Budget in the Lok Sabha and the Narendra Modi-led government’s first full Budget in its third term.

But while policymakers crunch numbers and economists dissect policies, the Internet has already gotten to work – with memes. From reactions to expected tax reliefs to people suddenly becoming ‘budget experts’, social media is flooded with them all.

So, whether you love or loathe the upcoming Budget, the memes are already winning the day.

Take a look at Budget 2025 memes:

The much-needed ‘budget experts’ graph is here! Watch as India witnesses a sudden surge in economists popping up everywhere, just in time for the Budget.

Investors are hoping the government doesn’t touch the capital gains tax because a hike would be their worst nightmare.

This meme perfectly captures the middle class’s rollercoaster of emotions before and after every Budget.

The evergreen “Utho Anarkali, Budget aane wala hai (Get up, Anarkali. The Budget is about to be announced)” meme never fails to make a comeback!

This meme perfectly sums up those self-proclaimed ‘Budget experts’ who act like they know everything under the sun.

And this scene from Panchayat perfectly captures the middle class as they wait for tax relief in the upcoming Budget.

“Me when salaried class expect huge relief from Budget,” wrote one social media user while sharing a still from the film Bagheera.

Both PM Modi and President Droupadi Murmu have mentioned the middle class in their speeches. PM Modi invoked blessings for the middle class, wishing that Goddess Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth) shower her blessings upon them.

“I pray that Maa Lakshmi continues to bless the poor and middle class of our country. It is a matter of great pride that India completed 75 years as a democratic nation. India has established itself well on the global pedestal…This is the first complete budget of my third term. I can confidently say that in 2047, when India will complete 100 years of Independence, India will fulfil its aim of Viksit Bharat and this budget will give new energy and hope to the nation,” PM Modi told reporters outside the parliament.

President Murmu, on the other hand, mentioned the middle class eight times in her speech.

It is to be noted that when the middle class is relieved, either through tax cuts or other economic policies, it can mean more disposable income in their hands. This can lead to increased spending, which in turn can boost consumption. Increased consumption helps stimulate business activity, leading to overall economic growth.
