Anti-ageing guru Bryan Johnson took the internet by storm by offering his age-reversal plasma to social media followers. Wondering why? The US millionaire explained the reason in one of his recent posts on X (formerly Twitter). Johnson shared that he would not need his son’s blood anymore to continue his first-of-a-kind “multigenerational plasma exchange” experiment. He further claimed that he had found a more advanced procedure that only required his plasma and a protein compound named albumin.
“I no longer inject my son’s blood. I’ve upgraded to total plasma exchange. The process involves: 1. Removing all blood from the body, 2. Separating plasma from the blood, and 3. Replacing the plasma with 5% albumin and IVIG,” Johnson wrote in his post.

Johnson also shared details of the “TPE Therapy” which according to him, “ has great effects in removing toxins, waste products, old misfolded and glycated proteins and immune complexes.”
“It has shown measurable effects in delaying and reversing age-related disease including dementia, as well as the capacity to reduce biological age based on various parameters, including blood proteomics and biological ageing clocks,” the tech professional added.

The post featured a picture of Johnson holding a bag containing his son’s plasma. His offer caught the attention of many social media buffs. One of them asked, “Bryan, if I wanted to buy this bag of plasma how much would you charge?” In reply, Johnson said that he would like to donate it as the plasma could aid in a “whole range of health therapies.”
Another user commented, “Love that you’re doing plasmapheresis! But TPE has drawbacks — you lose key vitamins, minerals, and small proteins, and risk contamination or infection with donor fluid.”
“IVIG is very expensive. I wouldn’t be surprised if $50k+ or more,” added another. A person joked about Johnson’s fascination with age reversal, saying, “I’ve never seen someone so afraid of dying.”
When Johnson kicked off his journey of age reversal, he announced that the process would involve his 17-year-old son Talmage and his 70-year-old father Richard. One litre of blood was collected from his son’s body. After its components were extracted, Johnson injected the plasma into his veins.
