During the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, a peculiar incident caught the attention of netizens, sparking curiosity online. As voters proudly showed off their indelible ink-marked fingers, one particular post on X went viral due to a strange photo. The image showed a voter’s index finger seemingly dipped in indelible ink—but the catch was that the finger had an unusually large amount of ink.
The post quickly gained traction, amassing over 1 million views. It was accompanied by the caption, “Tehelka voting.” This oddity has left many questioning what exactly transpired during the voting process.

Since grabbing attention, the post has attracted quite many reactions from people on social media.
A User Wrote, “Bhai Tune Ink Ke Dabbe Mein Ungli Daldi Thi Kya? (Bro, did you Dip your finger into a bottle of ink?) “
Another commented, “Bhai Kitne Logo Ki Taraf Se Vote Dia Hai? (Bro, for how many people did you Vote?) “
“Bro has voted till 2125,” a user on X jokingly said.
“Jab poore gaaon walo ki tarah se ek hi admi Vote dene jaye (when one man votes on behalf of the entrere Village.)” Another referred.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress are the three parties competing in the Delhi Assembly elections. The outcome of this important election will determine Delhi’s political leadership for the ensuing five years. The count of votes cast on Wednesday (February 5) will take place on Saturday, February 8. The results will be made public that same day.
Another strange incident occurred on February 4, when a 40-year-old man went to the police in Gandhi Nagar, East Delhi and claimed that his finger was inked in advance of the election.
According to police, the man was found to be intoxicated and to have no ink on his fingers during questioning. The man was identified as Firoz Khan, a history-sheeter from the Kailash Nagar area who has been the subject of almost 15 instances.
