Though everyone believed she had passed away, a remarkable moment unfolded when her tiny hand was seen moving from inside the coffin, leaving witnesses in utter disbelief.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the 8-month-old girl, Kiara Crislayne de Moura dos Santos, had been declared dead by medical professionals on October 19.
The incident occurred at the Faustino Riscarolli Hospital Foundation in Santa Catarina, Brazil. On October 19, Kiara was officially declared dead. Just two hours later, preparations for her funeral were underway. The funeral director, Aureo Arruda Ramos, was present alongside the girl’s parents during this heartbreaking event. According to local reports, at 7 PM, as the coffin was opened to change Kiara’s clothing, her hand was suddenly seen moving, leaving everyone in shock.
During the funeral, the baby reportedly grasped the finger of a family member standing near her coffin, astonishing those in attendance. The guests were left in disbelief at this unexpected development. A pharmacist who was present noticed that the child was still breathing, prompting an urgent call for emergency assistance. When paramedics arrived, they found that the girl had a pulse and an oxygen level of 84 per cent.
Tragically, despite these signs of life, she was once again declared dead upon reaching the hospital. The heartbroken father, Cristiano Santos, told local media that they were already devastated. He shared how a glimmer of hope had emerged, only to be crushed by the tragic sequence of events that followed.
Correia Pinto City Hall, along with the hospital where the baby had been treated, has extended its apologies to the family. Brazil’s specialised Scientific Police are currently investigating the medical facility. The hospital has admitted to its mistake in initially declaring the baby dead and later confirming her death once more.
