Blinkit Bistro: Quick commerce app Blinkit has made a new move in the 10 minute food delivery market. Zomato’s quick commerce subsidiary Blinkit has launched a new platform in the form of ‘Bistro’ which will deliver snacks, meals and beverages to customers in 10 minutes. The news of this launch has come at a time when Zomato’s competitor Zepto has announced the launch of its food delivery venture Zepto Café on Thursday. It is clear that there is a fierce competition among the companies in the food delivery market and to capitalize on this market, players ranging from quick commerce to stable players are also entering the field.
Where to download after the launch of Bistro
According to media reports, Bistro can be downloaded from Google Play Store and it is preparing to come on Apple App Store soon. This app was launched on 6 December 2024 and Blinkit’s Bistro can be seen as a competitor to Zepto Cafe. This is Zomato’s second attempt to enter the instant food and grocery delivery segment. Some time ago Zomato had launched Zomato Instant which was soon discontinued.
Bistro and Zepto Cafe will sell readymade food items
In the instant food delivery segment, it is a continuation of Swiggy’s Swiggy Bolt and Zepto’s Zepto Café. The thing to keep in mind is that even these app-based food aggregators do not sell proper food or meals but sell ready-made food items like samosas, sandwiches, coffee, pastries and other items.
Blinkit has decided to launch this special food based app at a time when rapid delivery companies are entering the field of food delivery. Through this, they are trying to increase their revenue by moving away from additional grocery and other items and delivering food items within 10 minutes.
