BJP or Aam Aadmi Party…who will win the hearts of Delhi’s businessmen?

Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Electoral parties try to get the support of every section in the Delhi Assembly elections. There are some classes which come together for their vote irrespective of religion and caste, in which the business class also plays an important role. According to the information received from many business organizations of Delhi, there are approximately 20 lakh businessmen who play an important role in Delhi elections.

This time’s election is interesting because leaders of all the big parties have been seen among them to woo the business class. On one hand, BJP included businessmen to seek suggestions for the manifesto, while on the other hand, the Chief Minister of Aam Aadmi Party participated in the program of business organization. The effort of both the parties is to keep this class on their side, although there are two big business organizations in Delhi, one of which is inclined towards Aam Aadmi Party and the other towards BJP.

Political parties should pay attention to the interests of businessmen

Delhi Assembly elections are near. President of Kamla Nagar Market Association, Nitin Gupta said that despite the elections being near, no political party has yet presented any concrete plan on the issues related to the development of Delhi and traders. It is extremely worrying that neither there has been any discussion on important topics like redevelopment of markets, nor on simplifying business activities, nor on implementing rules on e-commerce platforms.

Traders made their demands public

Traders say that there should be redevelopment of Delhi’s markets which should include creation of modern infrastructure, cleanliness, adequate parking and security measures. Resolving unauthorized constructions and saving legitimate traders from unnecessary hassles. Along with this, policies that make business easier should be introduced. Like making the licensing process simple and transparent.

Implementing tax reforms and provisions providing relief to traders. There should also be transparency and control on corruption in government departments so that traders can have direct communication through helplines and portals. Making government processes digital and transparent. There should also be strict control on e-commerce platforms to prevent unethical business practices such as selling of counterfeit products and illegally imported goods. Government support to make small traders competitive. To ensure better supply of essential services in the markets.

Which party will unite this vote bank?

There are two big business organizations in Delhi and in both, the problems and demands related to a large number of businessmen are raised and both the parties are engaged in helping this class. But due to no major announcement for them till now, there is concern and disappointment among the businessmen, because many people say that the way the parties are continuously making big announcements, businessmen should be included in it.

Traders expressed their support

Traders are the backbone of Delhi’s economic and social development. Our support will be with the team that will prioritize the interests of the business community and present a concrete roadmap to take Delhi’s markets to new heights. We want to be a partner in the development of Delhi, but for this political will and transparent policies are necessary.
