England was set a target of 608 runs and had lost three wickets in the final session on Saturday for just 72 runs. However, rain forecast threatens to foil India’s hunt for its first victory in Birmingham.

With adverse weather expected to delay the start of the day, India will most likely have less than 90 overs to finish the job.
