A Bengaluru-based techie, who first made headlines for an unexpected encounter with Google CEO Sundar Pichai on the streets of San Francisco, has once again captured the internet’s attention—this time for a chance meeting with another prominent tech CEO. Sid Puri was fortunate enough to bump into Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath at a cafe in Assagao, Goa.
The man posted a selfie with Kamath on social media, while referring to him as an “OG Bangalore boy.” The meeting sparked interest among his followers, who are now curious about Sid’s luck as he often comes across such well-known tech geniuses at random places.

Reacting to the post, a user asked, “First Sundar, now Kamath. Who’s next? Modi ji.” To this, Sid Puri wrote, “I’m playing tech CEO bingo, not world leader bingo.”

An individual shared, “An icon, a legend, and Nikhil Kamath.”
Last year in September, when Sid Puri met Sundar Pichai in San Francisco, sharing a picture with Google CEO on X, he wrote, “Go to SF they said, no one prepared me to just run into Sundar Pichai on the street.”
Nikhil Kamath started Zerodha, a trading platform based in Bengaluru, in 2010 with his brother Nithin Kamath. Since then, the trading platform has attracted over 10 million users, which has made it one of the largest platforms in India. According to a Forbes report, Zerodha’s success has increased Kamath’s wealth, as his net worth has reached $3 billion. In the 2024 Forbes World’s Billionaires List, Kamath ranks 1062, among other wealthy individuals.
