A Bengaluru man took the phrase “modern problems require modern solutions” quite literally when faced with ride-hailing woes. Struggling to book a ride on Uber or Ola, he turned to an unexpected alternative, the Porter app, to get to work on time.
The man, who goes by Pathik on social media, shared a photo of himself riding a pillion on a bike with the caption, “Had to porter myself to office today because no Ola, Uber.”
The picture shows him seated behind the delivery partner, who is seen wearing a helmet with Porter’s branding.
The picture, since being shared on February 6, has accumulated over 27,600 views. It has also collected a flurry of likes and comments.
Here’s how people reacted to the picture:
“This is actually genius. Lmao,” said one social media user.
Another suggested, “Go to the office at 6 am and leave by 2 pm. Least time spent in traffic this.”
“Been there, done that. Bengaluru spares no one,” expressed a third.
A fourth expressed, “Finally, someone did what I had once thought of! Might do as well now.”
Many even termed it the “peak Bengaluru moment”.
