A Bengaluru man completed the 42.9 km marathon in Mumbai after attending the Coldplay concert the night before. He also shared his 41-day training journey on social media.

A Coldplay fan has been hailed as the “living epitome of carpe diem” on social media after attending the British band’s concert in Mumbai and running a marathon the following morning. Aditya Birdy successfully completed the 42.9 km Tata Mumbai Marathon in 5 hours and 35 minutes.
Leading up to the marathon, Birdy shared his 41-day training journey on social media. On the final day of his preparation, he ran one kilometre and expressed that the best way to wrap up marathon training was by attending the Coldplay concert.
He even posted a picture of himself at the concert and wrote, “Day 41/41 of marathon prep. 1 km done. Coldplay concert was the best way to complete this series and the prep. Marathon in 7 hours.”
After completing the marathon, he shared a picture of himself from the finish line.
Reacting to his post on the microblogging platform, an individual wrote, “That is a solid finish actually.”
“Kudos to you,” said another.
A third congratulated him on his first finisher medal. “Congratulations on your first. Many more to come.”
“Legend. Attended Coldplay and ran the TMM in the same weekend,” commented yet another social media user.
The 20th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon saw participants from both India and abroad running alongside some of the world’s top runners. The race route takes participants past iconic Mumbai landmarks, including the Siddhivinayak Temple, Mahim Church, Worli-Bandra Sea Link, and Queen’s Necklace. The marathon features a variety of events, including the Amateur Run, Half Marathon & Police Cup, 10K Run, Marathon Elite Race, Champions with Disability Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and the Dream Run.
