Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against four individuals in connection with Atul Subhash’s suicide under Sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS.
Atul Subhash died by suicide at his Bengaluru home on Monday, alleging harassment by his wife, who works at Accenture.
The death of a 34-year-old engineer in Bengaluru has sparked an uproar on social media. Atul Subhash, who recorded a 90-minute video detailing his ordeal and left behind a 24-page suicide noteaccused his estranged wife and her family of harassment. He also held Reeta Kaushik, a family court judge in Jaunpur, responsible for driving him to this extreme step. Netizens have rallied online, demanding justice for Subhash and urging Accenture, where his wife is employed, to terminate her employment.
An individual named Akshit Singh tagged Accenture on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “Dear Accenture, you have 24 hours to fire the murderer of Atul Subhash. Your time starts now.”
Another social media user wrote, “Accenture, please fire the employee on an immediate basis.”

“Accenture, remove this woman from whatever position she holds,” said yet another X user.
A third asked, “Dear Accenture, do you give jobs to murderers?”
Journalist Nupur J Sharma wrote, “… She shouldn’t be fired. The wife should be arrested and thrown in jail. The judge who sat by and laughed, mocked and refused to deliver justice should be prosecuted and impeached. What is wrong with women downplaying the death of Atul Subhash?”

In a separate post, she added, “Women don’t have a monopoly on the truth and innocent men can’t be victimised en masse to prosecute the evil ones. The laws, that force men like Atul Subhash to end their lives as the only way out of the extortion and harassment, needs to change.”
Accenture, in response to numerous calls from people to terminate Atul Subhash’s wife, has made their account private on X.

Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Subhash’s wife Nikita Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, brother Anurag Singhania and uncle Sushil Singhania on the complaint of his brother Bikas Kumar under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS.
