US President Donald Trump spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday (October 16, 2025). This conversation between the Presidents of the two countries took place before Donald Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington a day later on Friday (October 17, 2025).

US President Donald Trump shared information about this conversation on the social media platform Truth Social. He said in a post on Truth Social, ‘I am talking to President Putin right now. Long talks are going on and I will report on all the topics of this conversation, as will President Putin after it ends.

On which issue will Trump-Zelensky meet?

US President Donald Trump has given this statement before the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Friday (October 17, 2025). This meeting between the Presidents of the two countries is going to take place on the issue of purchase of American Tomahawks missiles.

Trump gave statement on Israel visit

Trump told reporters that he planned to discuss Tomahawks with him to end Russia’s war in Ukraine and put pressure on Putin. He said, ‘Do they want to take Tomahawks in that direction? I don’t think so. I think I can talk to Russia about this.
