Langon Health Research at New York University has revealed that thousands of people are being killed due to a dangerous chemical DIHP (Dio-2-Athylhexil Fttelet) in plastic items. This research has been published in a medical journal called Lancet EbiaMedicin.

What is dehp and why so dangerous

DEHP is the chemical that is inserted to make plastic soft and durable. That is, the same thing that is filled in food cans, children’s toys, hospital IV tubes, cosmetic products. This chemical slowly breaks and reaches our body with small plastic particles. When it penetrates into the body, it causes inflammation in the arteries of the heart and this inflammation gradually causes serial risk like heart attack and stroke.

According to the report, in 2018, around 3.56 lakh people worldwide died due to similar chemicals. More than 1 lakh people died in India due to diseases related to Dehp. The financial loss of health issues associated with it has reached $ 510 billion.
