The agreement was signed after a meeting between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev during the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit on Friday. The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at Khankandi, Azerbaijan. Both Aliyev and Sharif were present during this period.
It is being told that both countries want to take investment and business relations between them to historical level. Due to this, a detailed agreement will be signed during Azerbaijan’s visit to Pakistan. However, it is not yet confirmed when Aliyev will visit Pakistan, but it is being told that he is going to go to Pakistan this year.
Shahbaz told Azerbaijan thank you
After signing this deal, Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Aliyev. Also praised Azerbaijan’s efforts to strengthen regional contact and economic integration between ECO member countries. EOC member countries have countries like United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Venezuela, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Congo, Algeria, Nigeria.
Deal deal between the two countries
Apart from this, recently, Azerbaijan also announced to buy 40 JF-17 fighter jets from Pakistan. Azerbaijan has increased its order of JF-17 from 16 to 40 under this defense deal of $ 4.6 billion. Let us know that JF-17 fighter jet is being made with Pakistan with China.
