After this, the student went to the washroom and shot himself and committed suicide. Police said that they received information at 10 am (local time) and shortly after, the sounds of bullets were heard from inside the school building.

Police evacuated the school

The local police has advised people to stay away from that area and follow the instructions of the officials. The police posted on the social media platform X and told that the school has been evacuated and all have been taken to a safe place. He further explained that the situation is under control and there is no danger now. The city of Austria is located in the southeast of the country and has a population of about 300,000.

Attackers also included among those who died

According to the report, Graj city Mayor Elke Kahhar said that in the people who died, 7 students are an employee of a school and a criminal who opened fire. The responsibility of investigating the firing in the school has been given to the Special Task Force. Austria’s Home Minister has also left for the city of Graj. The police have appealed to the people to remain calm and avoid rumors. Police said that some people have also been injured, who are undergoing treatment in the local hospital.
