
Seaplane Crash in Australia : A seaplane crashed while taking off from Australia’s tourist island Rottnest. Three passengers have died in this accident who were Swiss and Danish tourists. Three others have been seriously injured. Police said that a Cessna 208 Caravan with a total of seven people on board met with an accident on Tuesday afternoon (January 7) on Rossnest Island.
The plane belonged to Swan River Seaplanes
The plane that crashed was of Swan River Seaplanes, which was returning to its headquarters in Perth, Western Australia. It is located approximately 30 kilometers east of Rottnest Island, also known locally as Wajemup.
Western Australia Premier Roger Cook said the dead included a 65-year-old Swiss woman, a 60-year-old Danish man and a 34-year-old pilot from Perth. At the same time, a 63-year-old Swiss man and a 58-year-old Danish woman and a Western Australian couple consisting of a 65-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were saved in the accident.
Cook further said, “The cause of the seaplane accident is not yet known.” He said there were reports that the plane hit a rock while entering the bay on the western side of the island, although this could not be confirmed from the video seen so far.

Three people are confirmed dead following a seaplane crash off Rottnest Island on Tuesday.
The aircraft, carrying six passengers and a pilot, crashed into the water moments after attempting to take off from the western side of the island.

Police Commissioner of Western Australia gave information
Western Australia Police Commissioner Cole Blanch said, “None of the passengers who were rescued from the crash suffered life-threatening injuries.” “Three injured people have been taken to Perth hospital for treatment,” he said.
Blanch further said that police divers recovered the bodies of those killed in the accident from 8 meter deep water on Tuesday night. At the same time, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described this accident as terrible and expressed condolences to those killed.
