Atul Subhash suicide: Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against engineer’s wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, Nisha Singhania, her brother, Anurag Singhania, and her uncle, Sushil Singhania, under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS.

“They’re not shocked, they’re not grieving, they’re not even trying to defend themselves properly. Instead, they’re attacking reporters, showing their arrogance, and acting like they’re above it all,” wrote an X (formerly Twitter) user in response to Atul Subhash’s in-laws reacting aggressively when approached by reporters. A video of the same has been doing the rounds online.
Subhash, a 34-year-old Bengaluru engineertragically took his life on December 9, allegedly due to harassment from his estranged wife and her family. The Bengaluru techie documented his struggles in a 90-minute video and a 24-page suicide note. He said that his wife had filed nine cases against him.
A now-viral video shows Subhash’s mother-in-law Nisha Singhania and brother in law Anurag Singhania arguing and shouting at reporters who went to cover their side of the story. From their balcony, Nisha and Anurag angrily demand that the reporter turn off his camera.

When the reporter urged them to speak with him, Anurag threatened him saying, “Ham log khud aakar aap logon ko jawab denge, is tarah ka kaam karenge to bhaisahab galat ho jaega (We will come ourselves and answer your questions. If you continue to act like this, it will be wrong).”
Anurag also refused to speak to the media without his lawyers.

After Subhash tragically took his own life by hanging himself at his Bengaluru apartment, his brother Bikas Kumar filed a complaint against four individuals, which the Bengaluru police converted into an FIR. The FIR names Subhash’s wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, Nisha Singhania, her brother, Anurag Singhania, and her uncle, Sushil Singhania, under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS.
