Amidst India-Pakistan tension, World Bank gave good news, know how much poverty has happened in 10 years?


The World Bank has recently released a report, which has revealed encouraging figures about India’s poverty. According to the report, in the last 10 years more than 17 crore Indians have come out of extreme poverty. This reflects India’s economic progress and the success of social policies. In addition, the gap of poverty between rural and urban areas has also decreased. This difference has come down from 7.7% to 1.7%, indicating equal development in the country.
