
Ambulance Helicopter Crash in Turkiye : An ambulance helicopter collided with a hospital building in southwestern Turkey on Sunday (December 22, 2024) and then fell to the ground and crashed. 4 people died in this accident. According to the Turkish Health Ministry, the ambulance helicopter was taking off from Mugla Training and Research Hospital. In which two pilots, a doctor and another medical personnel were on board.
Mugla regional governor Idris Akbeyik told the media that the helicopter first hit the fourth floor of the hospital and then fell to the ground. However, no one was injured inside the hospital building or on the ground during this period. The cause of this horrific accident is being ascertained. However, during this time there was dense fog in the area.
In the video footage, the debris of the helicopter was seen scattered outside the hospital after the accident. At the same time, many ambulances and emergency teams were present at the spot.

Ambulance helicopter seen moving in dense fog
According to pictures broadcast by NTV television channel, the helicopter was flying from the roof of a hospital in Mugla city in dense fog and low visibility conditions and was heading towards Antalya city. According to Turkish local media reports, the footage showed the helicopter hovering in the fog for a few minutes after takeoff. After this, after hitting the hospital, the helicopter crashed in an empty land near the hospital.

The incident at the Mugla Training and Research Hospital in southwestern Turkey occurred nearly two weeks after two helicopters collided during a military training exercise in Turkey’s southwestern Isparta province, killing six soldiers.
