In Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district, a startling revelation has surfaced regarding the infamous groomRahul, who recently absconded with his mother-in-law. Investigations revealed that a year prior to this incident, Rahul had eloped with another woman from the same village.
Rahul had disappeared with the woman from a neighbouring village and returned after two months. The woman’s family did not report the incident to the police, preventing any action against him.
Media reports suggest that Rahul’s friends aided him in eloping with his mother-in-law, escorting them both to Kasganj railway station on a bike. Along with the friends, police have detained Rahul’s brother-in-law in connection with the case.
The incident unfolded after a girl from a village in Madrak was engaged to the young man from Dadon, with their marriage scheduled for April. However, Rahul absconded with his mother-in-law before the wedding.
The mother-in-law had provided Rahul with a phone, and during their conversations, the 38-year-old woman developed affection for her 20-year-old son-in-law.
The girl’s father has pleaded with the police to locate his wife and recover the jewellery and money she took, stating that he no longer wishes to maintain any relationship with her.
Commenting on the incident, CO Iglas Mahesh Kumar stated that the police are actively searching for both individuals. On April 13, the police interrogated several people, including Rahul’s friends, but have not found any concrete leads.
Further investigation revealed that Rahul previously worked in Gujarat, prompting the police team to prepare to travel there. The police maintain that nothing can be confirmed until both individuals are found.
